X-Ray Fluorescence / X-Ray Diffraction

The MTC maintains capabilities to conduct chemical and phase analysis using state-of-the-art XRF and XRD instruments. Analysis can be done on powders, solids, films, or other types on a variety of sample sizes. Analysis for chemical composition, mineralogy, and other information can also be conducted using built-in analysis procedures or independent analysis software. To support the MTC's XRF and XRD instruments, a variety of equipment is available for sectioning, grinding, sieving, and fusing glass samples to support analysis requirements.
